Dipak Banerjee

BiographyDipak Banerjee studied at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata, like his peer Amitabha Banerjee, also represented in this exhibition. A prestigious scholarship from the French government allowed the artist to study in Paris at the printmaking studio Atelier 17 withits founder Stanley William Hayter and his co-director Krishna Reddy. (See their works nearby.) Upon his return, Banerjee taught printmaking at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi and exhibited regularly in galleries in Delhi.
