Between 1965 and 1969, Goud helped fellow printmaker Devraj Dakoji (represented in this exhibition) set up an etching press at artist P. T. Reddy’s home in Hyderabad in the adjacent state of Telangana. Such collaborations reflect the strong sense of community among printmakers in India.

BiographyGoud spent his childhood in Nizampur, Andhra Pradesh, where he watched street theatre and puppetry and learned folklore, crafting paper masks, and painting his own body. These prints represent Goud’s early engagement with natural landscapes containing human figures and animals. Between 1965 and 1969, Goud helped fellow printmaker Devraj Dakoji (represented in this exhibition) set up an etching press at artist P. T.
