Karsten Creightney

Biography• Creightney was born, raised, and continues to reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

• He is known for his landscape art and imagery addressing the experiences of African Americans.

• Creightney received his bachelor of arts degree from Antioch College in Ohio. He completed the prestigious one-year program in lithography printing at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque before earning his master of fine arts degree in painting from the University of New Mexico.

• The Flint Institute of Art in Michigan organized the artist’s first museum one-person exhibition in 2012.
