Biography• The Prairie Print Makers formed a year after the stock market crash of 1929 in Lindsborg, Kansas, in the studio of Bethany College art professor Birger Sandzén.

• The group described its mission as connecting artists to the public and furthering “the interest of both artists and laymen in printmaking and collecting."

• Anyone could become a member-subscriber for $5 (about $80 today) and receive an annual presentation print created by an artist member.

• Norma Bassett Hall was the only female founding member of the Prairie Print Makers. She designed the group's sunflower logo.
