Elfreda was born in Manhattan, KS and received her BFA from the University of Kansas. She also studied at Kansas State College and at the Art Students League of New York, where she studied with George Grosz. She specialized in portraits and landscapes. She did several murals for a restaurant in Manhattan, KS. She was a member of the Prairie Watercolor Painters. She passed away in 1998 in Manhattan, KS.
