Not on viewGraduation is a momentous event for a college student. Evelyn Renfrew’s imagery of clothing designs for nineteenth-century graduates might find their real counterparts in Kansas State University’s Historic Costume and Textile Design Museum collection housed in Justin Hall.
Renfrew made these and some one hundred other prints of historic costumes in the United States and other nations for the WPA Federal Art Project in Los Angeles. She later worked in the art department of Walt Disney Studios.
