Description
Clara Skinner created three prints for the New Deal’s 1933-34 jobs program for artists, the Public Works of Art Project. Theatre No. 1 was intended as the start of a series, but the subsequent pieces were never created.

Campus performing arts events enrich the college experience. Many freshmen explore Kansas State University’s cultural institutions through a course called DAS 100, or “Freshman Seminar.” Theatrical institutions on campus include the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Music; Nichols Theatre; McCain Auditorium; and the Purple Masque.
