On View
Not on viewAfter two years in Chicago, Curry decided to follow brother Eugene to Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, an institution affiliated with the Scots Presbyterian (Covenanter) Church in which the Curry children had been raised. He played football and became an art editor for the college yearbook.
This illustration accompanied a humor piece Curry wrote about a campus fire that had been allegedly caused by a sparrow bringing a lit cigarette butt to its nest. A dedication in the lower right may be to Lawrence B. Gilmore, the yearbook’s 1920 assistant editor.
