Description
• The artist has noted that the component in this work that best fits the traditional expectations for a work of art — handmade with the highest level of technical skill and experience — is, in fact, the plain white tile that serves as the background. Contrary to expectation, the artist did not paint the images but used factory decals for mass-produced tableware.

• The artist revealed in an interview that his composition follows the principles of classical Chinese landscape painting, with attention paid to balancing figures and elements with empty space and including vignettes that make an emotional connection to the viewer.
